Recognizing, Interrupting and Resolving Microaggressions

We are delighted to welcome back Families of Color Seattle to present this workshop in which we will take a deep dive into microaggressions.   Workshop goals include: learning what makes up a microaggression, understanding context for and impact of microaggressions on marginalized communities, talking in developmentally appropriate ways with our children about microaggressions, and finding ways for both adults and children to successfully interrupt microaggressions when we see them. This workshop builds on our previous one from Winter 2021: “Undoing Racism and Teaching Equity to our Children”, though prior attendance is not required.
