Fall is definitely here, friends – it’s hard to believe that Thanksgiving break starts on Monday – what a wonderful start to the school year!  November is a traditional time to talk about gratitude as many of us prepare to give thanks with friends and family.  In recent years, a whole body of research has blossomed around the concept of gratitude as it relates to mindfulness, happiness, and positive mental & physical health.  Gratitude can be a little tricky to describe, and might mean something a little different to each person and it’s never too early to start the conversation in your family!  Books can be a wonderful way to explore new concepts … find a wonderful list of children’s books about gratitude here.

Another great habit to begin early is adopting some sort of gratitude practice with your children … the ideas listed here are fantastic.

Wishing you and yours a happy, healthy holiday!
